These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Beren Software (a company based in the Netherlands, KvK 89646118) regarding your use of PocketTrip ("the app"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. The app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA); where these Terms are silent, that EULA applies.
PocketTrip is a travel budget and expense tracker for iPhone and iPad. It lets you set budgets and daily caps, log expenses in multiple currencies, split costs with travel companions, scan receipts on-device, view statistics and a map, and sync your trips through your private iCloud.
PocketTrip is available to users of all ages. If you are under 18, you should use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
PocketTrip is free to use, with optional Pro features available as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. All billing is handled by Apple and charged to your App Store account. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal.
Your trips and expenses are yours. They are stored on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud. Beren Software has no access to this content, and you are responsible for maintaining your own backups via iCloud. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app (except where permitted by law); introduce malicious code; attempt unauthorised access to our systems or those of our providers; use automated means to access the app; or resell or redistribute the app.
The app, its design, code and content are owned by Beren Software and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use PocketTrip on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal or business use.
PocketTrip is provided "as is" and "as available" for personal budgeting, and does not provide financial, tax or investment advice. Currency conversions and totals are estimates; always verify important figures independently. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and do not guarantee that the app will be accurate, secure or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beren Software's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Beren Software harmless from any claims or costs arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these Terms.
We may update, change or discontinue features of the app over time, and are not obliged to notify you of every change. We aim to keep the app working reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of features that rely on third-party services (for example exchange rates or weather).
The app integrates with third-party services including Apple (App Store & iCloud), RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, Open-Meteo and CurrencyBeacon. We are not responsible for the availability or content of these services, which are governed by their own terms.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and any disputes will be subject to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Beren Software regarding the app. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. In case of any conflict between translations, the English version prevails.
These Terms are between you and Beren Software, not Apple. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
